You have to find the keyboard setup.
So Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, then Language tab, then Details.
You can then see what keyboard setups are available. Make sure that UK keyboard is selected.

How can I change the settings on my pc-so I can email in Greek ?
I have windows XP.
I do not have a keyboard with Greek letters-but a friend told me which letter matches which on my English keyboard-and said if I change the settings that should let me email in Greek.
I hear that there`s a way to change the language settings on my pc so I can go into my email-yahoo mail and I can type in Greek letters.

I recomend purchasing antivirus / firewall from a RELIABLE vendor such as McAfee or Norton.. etc... properly configuring it to scan for PuPs and for automatically updating itself...
Spybot is fine for anti-spyware and anti-adware but if you have avirus it will not help.
You MUST uninstall all that freeware crap and get a reliable tool or stop posting asking for help and get a technician who will do it for you for more money.
Turn off system restore until the infection is gone, otherwise you will reinfect yourself.. once clean re-enable and create a clean restore point.
Once you have a proper tool installed and properly configured... force and update and perform a complete scan.

Once the infection is clean and if your keyboard is still not functioning properly you can attempt a repair of windows by sticking the Windows CD into the CD-Rom drive... start the installation and either choose REPAIR or Install (withOUT choosing to format)... if you choose format you will lose all of your data and this is only to be done as a last resort...
Once you repair or overlay windows your keyboard should be working properly again. If you are using a specialty keyboard you may have to re-download and/or re-install the software / drivers for that keyboard. These can be obtained from the manufacturers website.

I changed my language bar settings in Windows Vista so I can type in Arabic. That works fine. But for numbers, it continues printing the English style numbers. I tried the number row and the keypad on the right side of the keyboard. Tried numlock on/off, tried ctrl+shift+alt combinations, and so on. Windows 7 Language pack. French to English?
Okay so for years now I've had all my computers work in french but I just can't take it anymore, so I went looking on how to do so and it said you need to go to control panel etc. problem is, like many others the option of changing the language isn't in the keyboard%26amp;languages section.... So I downloaded the file.... now what? what the hell am I meant to do with a file I can't apply, somebody please tell me what to do I'm lost and on the verge of beating my head against the wall :p
My Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. With Intel for the CPU.

To get the @ sign you need to press and hold shift and press '
but on my keyboard you have to hold shift and press 2 to get the @ sign
and also you need to press shift and 2 to get %26quot;

Hello guys, I wanna ask how to solve my problem regarding my keyboard. First of all , my keyboard works smooth when i try to turn on my computer.. i tried to play some games but after few min/ hours had passed my keyboard starts to malfunction. For example. when im pressing some keys like, W, R, spacebar, etc. The esc(escape) key triggers which leads on pausing my game.. I already tried it different games and it also occurs. Then i tried typing on word and some of my keys like the letter 'C' produces some character that can only be generated using ( ALT+ the numpad).. i also tried to restart my computer and it also runs smoothly in the first place but likewise after a few hrs the problem occurs again. I tried cleaning my keyboard but it doesnt solve any of my problems, also tried to change the language of my keyboard and it still doesnt helpKeyboard Malfunctions %26quot;Kindly help%26quot;?

Someone played a prank on me and changed my laptop to spanish. I do not know spanish, and cant change it. I have tried:

right i hope this doesn't sound confusin but i got this laptop i got free from college and the language format on it isn't quite right when for example i go shift then to the @ button it doesn't do it where the apostrophe is it does it by doing shift then 2. its the same the other way round you go shift then at where the @ button is it does the apostrophe. someone told me its in american format but not sure so thought i'd ask for advice.

Well if the OS has been installed in Spanish as the core language then you can't change it.
You will have to get an English version.

But, now I can't get it to go back properly. I switched the language back to Bulgarian on the skype toolbar, checked my control panel it is set for Bulgarian cyrillic, but when you type, the cyrillic letters, are translated from the latin letter, not as the cyrillic letters are shown on the keyboard. This is very confusing to someone who is used to type only on the orginal cyrillic keyboard. Please help me to restore this version.

How to turn "External Numpad" into an "One Handed Keyboard"?
Imagine I have a USB External Numpad and I rotate it 90 degrees and I use it as one handed keyboard. To achieve this, I think I need a program or I should write a program. If it is true, what kind of a code do I need? Is there a program that you know, which changes the keyboard's keys(but only external numpad keys)?If I have to write a program in which language do you prefer? If you're running vista, there should be a little icon of a keyboard down by the clock on the bottom right of your screen. Click on it, select USA. That should fix the problem.

I am using my computer with my Turkish keyboard. Since the difference is minimal I can use my keyboard in its original layout and type both in English and Turkish. So I am not swapping keyboard layouts according to the language I type.

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx notebook, with Vista Home Premium.
I bought the notebook here in NYC so of course the language is in English; but I'm a native of Sicily, Italy.
I was wondering if there is a way that I could change the language in my notebook from English to Italian?

What's the best way to change the computer language from English to Mandarin Chinese? Is there a way to change it so that the two languages are interchangeable?
